Ixell 2006 Kart Racing Grand Prix 5th Edition.

21st May 2006 saw the 5th Ixell / A.C.Williams 2 hour Kart Grand Prix held at Ancaster Kart Racing near Ancaster Lincs. It was a mostly rainy day, as the year has been so far! Remember there is a hosepipe ban! Despite the heavy clouds we had a very high turnout, team 7 made an appearance near the end of qualifying but what was going on with team 12?

The wet track caused many spins to start with but as peoples skills grew there was some very good quality driving, right on the edge.

After the final very wet 15 min session everyone quickly got to Woodland Waters (Woodys) for the Free Bar and Sunday Lunch. I can say that the beef I had was great and very welcome after a long morning outside. The food was on time and very good, well done. I missed the free bar as I had to drive to Manchester but I am told that a good time was had by all.

The results will be here soon but I can tell you that team 11 won followed by team 6. Andrew Hill got the fastest lap of the day but he only weighs the same as a bag of crisps so he can have ballast next time! I know team 3 came 6th as that was my team. I will get the other results and pictures on here soon.

If anyone would like a great corporate day out or just a practice session we can recommend Ancaster Kart Racing, we have been there for the last 5 years and they have even managed to arrange good weather for 4 of those!

Ixell 2005 Kart Racing Grand Prix 4th Edition.

90 people attended our 4th Kart Grand Prix at Ancaster Kart Racing and had a great day. No major incidents in the 2 hour endurance race and a good time afterwards at Woodland Waters (Woodys) with a nice Sunday lunch and Free bar.

These people earned places for Loyalty to A.C.Williams and the Ixell Consumables brand, we think it was money well spent.
